Dark Chocolate Matcha Rice Crispy Treats | Vine to Bar

Say hello to your new favorite no-bake treat: Dark Chocolate Matcha Rice Crispy Treats—crispy, gooey, and just the right amount of sweetness. We’ve leveled up this classic with a swirl of earthy matcha and a drizzle of Vine to Bar’s Dark Chocolate, which is patented to improve the taste and nutritional content of chocolate thanks to its real food prebiotics and bright fruit notes. Not only does it support your gut microbiome and help your body better absorb vitamins and minerals, but it also makes your sweet tooth and your stomach equally happy.

Ingredients 

      4 tbsp salted butter

      15 oz large marshmallows

      1 tsp matcha powder

      6 cups rice crispy cereal

      6 oz Vine to Bar Dark Chocolate

      ½ tbsp coconut oil

      Flaky salt – optional

Directions

  1. Line a 7x10 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Heat a large pot over medium heat and add the butter.
  3. Once the butter is melted, add the marshmallows and reduce the heat to medium-low, stirring constantly until the marshmallows are almost fully melted. Stir in the matcha and continue to stir until all of the marshmallows are fully melted.
  4. Quickly stir in the rice cereal.
  5. Once combined, pour the mixture into the lined baking dish. It may be easier to spray cooking oil onto your fingers to press into the pan.
  6. Let sit at room temperature for 1-2 hours. Remove from the pan and cut into squares.
  7. Melt the chocolate and coconut oil over a double boiler until fully melted.
  8. Dip half of each rice crispy square into the chocolate and place on a parchment lined baking sheet. Sprinkle with flaky salt if desired.
  9. Place into the freezer to set for 20 minutes or until the chocolate hardens. Enjoy!
