Two visionaries who saw possibility where others saw waste. From Chardonnay grapes to rich, smooth dark chocolate — Peggy Furth and Barbara Banke turned an idea born in wine country into one of the most innovative movements in chocolate.
Where It All Began
Peggy and Barbara met in the world of fine wine — two friends driven by curiosity, craftsmanship adn sustainability. When they looked closer at the winemaking process, they discovered the byproduct - Chardonnay Marc, the pressed skins and seeds, rich in nutrients and flavor could be more.
What started as a spark of curiosity became a mission — to turn this upcycled ingredient into a gently proccessed new superfood.
The Science of Chardonnay Marc
Partnering with scientists at UC Davis and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Peggy and Barbara uncovered the hidden power of Chardonnay Marc — flavanols, phenolics, and prebiotic fibers that support gut health and overall well-being.
When blended with dark chocolate, these natural compounds create something entirely new: smooth, rich chocolate that’s good for your taste buds and your microbiome.
A Chocolate That Loves You Back
The Chardonnay Marc adds more than nutrition — it deepens flavor, smooths texture, and softens chocolate’s natural bitterness. Each bite is indulgent, balanced, and rooted in real wellness.
It’s not just better chocolate. It’s chocolate that’s better for you.
